About The Move
The Book
The Move is a true story of how God speaks to His believers today. In an easy-read style reminiscent of having coffee with the author in a living room, The Move asks the readers "What does God require of us? How can we glorify God each day? How can we share God's word with others? Can we trust God to keep His word?"
Our Story
This story in the Move involved the author, O.K. Johnson and his wife, Patti. God told them as he did Abraham centuries ago, to pack up and move. They did and experienced how faith and trust in God enabled them to complete the five-year journey to a neighboring state. It was a series of moves that led to doubts, anger, repentance, forgiveness and restoration. The move nearly resulted in the loss of all their finances but God kept his promises. It is a great testimony to God's faithfulness in spite of circumstances.
The Author
O.K. Johnson is a retired professional journalist and small business owner now living in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. He was a consistent winner in the annual Associate Press Inland Empire news writing competition in the 1970s and 80s before moving to Olympia, Washington to manage the family amusement and vending business. He and his wife, Patti, have been married for over 22 years.
